Introducing the *Free* Chambray Cowl Pattern! We are both crazy about this cowl. It's light weight for summer and looks great with everything. And oh my word is it simple to make!
One of the great things about Chambray is that it is a woven fabric, not printed. So the right and the wrong side are equally beautiful. The double sided effect of the fabric is the key to this pattern. Since it's a spring/summer cowl you don't want double layers to add too much weight. One layer of chambray is just perfect. To add a little something special to the cowl we used a variety of thread colors for the stitching. I really like the idea of have a lot of simple, utilitarian detail on an understated piece like this.
All it takes is a yard of chambray (and you'll even have a little left over to play with.) And maybe an hour of your time.
